Wycliffe Bible Translators

This organization’s mission is simple and clear – translating God’s Word into the thousands of languages necessary to reach all the nations of the earth with the good news of the Gospel.

Wycliffe Bible Translators began their ministry in 1942.  Though enormous progress has been made in the last 75 years, many still have no access to the Bible’s message of hope in a language that they can understand. Wycliffe’s translation efforts often include literacy development work; we once met a 70 year old man in the Dominican Republic who was diligently learning to read so that he could learn more about his Savior and share Him with his children, grandchildren, and neighbors.

Wycliffe’s work is a highly leveraged investment in the kingdom.  Imagine the thrill of reading Luke 2:10, and understanding for the first time, that God’s gift of His Son is for all people.  Then, consider the ripple effects that are sure to follow!

Wycliffe places a major emphasis on bible translation for unreached peoples.  Here is a potent opportunity to help share the transforming power of the Gospel with the least and last, as the global Church presses on towards the fulfillment of the Great Commission.
