A favorite verse, for sure — who doesn’t occasionally need God’s active intervention?
Some interesting word choices:
…”for” you — in your place… as Christ suffered in your place.
…“still” — the Hebrew word used here carries the meaning to introduce slack, as opposed to applying tension.
God will work for you, in your place, according to His good purposes, and for your benefit. Our job is sometimes to let go the reins, to trust Him, and let Him do his thing.
Tough Question: Do we believe this promise?
