Father God,

Thank you for blessing me so incredibly, despite all the ways I fall short…

Thank you, Lord,
   that your salvation that comes in repentance & rest,
      instead of impossible striving…

Thank you, Lord,
   that your strength that comes in quietness & trust,
      rather than my own character…

Thank you, Lord,
   that your love will grow me,
      not my own will or wisdom…

Thank you, Lord,
   that you have promised to work for good in all things;
      help me to live my life in gratitude, trust, and availability…

Teach me, Lord,
   to love you first and most and always.

Move in me, Lord,
   to love my neighbor in the ways You wish.

Help me, Lord,
   to love myself, filling my spirit with the good, the beautiful, the true.

Thank you, Father,
   for making me and for loving me;
      may my life bear the fruit of your spirit.

I would be more wholly thine, Lord:
   Take my life, take this day,
      and use it as you will, for your good purposes,
         in the name of Christ.
